Common Ground

As a result of the history of colonization on Turtle Island, most of us share some knowledge of the English language.

Let's use the English Language, for better or worse, as a starting point for building a shared vocabulary of understanding, by defining words, phrases & concepts that matter with respect to Indigenous & Non Indigenous relations.

Together we can try to define, to unpack and to connect the dots around words, phrases concepts that are used on daily basis. New ones are also being introduced into popular culture and the conversations we have on issues that matter. This will allow us to examine the culture(s) that lies behind each of these words, phrases and concepts and hopefully, establish some common ground.
